Safety:

 

It is our intention to ensure that you have a safe and highly enjoyable experience with us. For this reason, we ask you to ensure that you are medically fit enough to undertake a balloon flight. If in doubt, consult your doctor and certainly discuss any concerns with us.

 

You will be instructed how to brace yourself for the landing which may involve one or more hefty bumps. We are unable to fly anyone who is pregnant, has ankle, back or bone weaknesses, limited mobility, or a heart, nervous or mental condition.

 

Any passenger that appears to be intoxicated, under the influence of drugs or in a condition that may endanger themselves or the safety of the flight will not be allowed to fly and will forfeit any payment. The pilot's decision is final.

 

No responsibility will be accepted for any injury to a passenger, or onlooker associated with a passenger, who fails to comply with an instruction from a member of Alba Ballooning at any time.

 

Payment:

 

Full payment is required before the flight. If you turn up for a flight and fail to pay any balance due, you will not be allowed to fly and will forfeit any deposit payment made.

 

If you fail to turn up for, miss or refuse a flight you have booked that has not been cancelled by you with our agreement , you will forfeit any payment made.

 

If you fail to pay any invoiced balance of payment by the due date, you will forfeit any deposit payment made.

 

If you cancel or change a flight booking within 48 hours of the booked flight, you will forfeit any payment made if the weather be suitable for that flight to take place unless replacement full paying passengers are obtained.

 

Validity and refunds:

 

Flight vouchers are initially valid for one year from the date stated on the voucher unless extended. Flights can only be booked on dates and times for which the voucher is valid. Flight vouchers can be renewed annually upon payment of a renewal fee (£30 per person per year) prior to expiry. Failure to pay this fee prior to expiry renders the flight voucher invalid thereafter. This fee may be waived only if you have made 5 unsuccessful bookings within our March to October season.

 

Refunds are only given on valid flight vouchers purchased directly from Alba Ballooning and are subject to the deduction of an overheads fee (£55 per person) unless alternative refund terms have been agreed in writing at the time of purchase. Renewal fees are non-refundable. Refunds, or the opportunity to undertake another flight, will not normally be offered if the pilot deems it necessary, through reasons of safety to passengers or risk of damage to the balloon, to curtail the flight.

For holders of Premium vouchers, a full refund (less £10 per person processing fee) is available within the initial validity period should the holder experience 5 flight cancellations made by us during that initial validity period and the holder remains unflown. Thereafter, the aforementioned refund terms apply.

 

Miscellaneous:

 

We accept no responsibility for loss or inconvenience due to flight cancellations, notified changes in the meeting time or notified changes in the choice of meeting point or launch site or your failure to check in within the stated check-in period for a flight.

 

Holders of Premium vouchers, once flown, will each receive a printed 'in flight' photograph provided conditions have enabled such a photograph to be taken. In the exceptional event where this has not been possible, an alternative photograph of the balloon will be substituted.
